Chapel Hill is one of the most historic communities in the Triangle-area. The settlement dates from the middle of the 1750’s and grew up around the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. The name comes from a chapel that was placed on a hill from that time. Travelers can still see a modern chapel on a hill as you approach the town.

Chapel Hill features an easily walkable downtown, as well as an accessible campus and neighborhoods with both a historic and modern feel.
