The North Raleigh Lifestyle
Though part of Raleigh, the North Raleigh area offers a slower pace of life than Downtown Raleigh and tight-knit communities of neighbors not unlike those found in nearby suburban areas. North Raleigh is renowned among longtime locals and new residents for these very reasons, as well as for its premier properties.
North Raleigh's luxury homes often rank among the most expensive homes in the Triangle; however, million-dollar properties are not the only real estate options available in North Raleigh. This area also offers modest townhome communities and established single-family home neighborhoods in addition to North Raleigh's golf course communities and gated luxury home communities.
For those unfamiliar with the area, North Raleigh encompasses the zip codes of 27614 and 27615, or the area south of Falls Lake, west of Capital Boulevard, north of Lynn Road, and east of Creedmoor Road. Allow us to show you why North Raleigh remains a popular place to live in the Triangle.

North Raleigh residents don't have to travel far from home to reach the Triangle's best shopping malls. Located on Glenwood Avenue just off of the I-440 beltline, Crabtree Valley Mall features nearly 200 stores, including the Apple Store, Brooks Brothers, Coach, and Michael Kors. Along Capital Boulevard is Triangle Town Center, another bustling shopping mall that is surrounded by even more restaurants and retailers. In the heart of North Raleigh is Lafayette Village, a French-inspired plaza featuring a collection of boutiques, cafes, and specialty shops. Just beyond these areas you'll find North Hills. Equipped with boutique shopping, outdoor amphitheater, roof top bars, out door dining, and the highest view in Raleigh.
North Raleigh's most famous attraction by far is Falls Lake, a large reservoir nestled between Raleigh and Wake Forest. Built in 1981 to provide water to nearby communities, Falls Lake is a haven for boating, fishing, swimming, and hiking in North Raleigh. Several luxury home communities, including Bay Leaf Farm, are located near Falls Lake, allowing residents to take advantage of the serenity and seclusion while living only minutes from Downtown Raleigh. In addition to Falls Lake, numerous greenway trails and golf courses are scattered throughout North Raleigh.
Though North Raleigh residents are a short drive from Downtown Raleigh's exciting nightlife and entertainment venues, they don't have to leave home to find something fun to do. Many North Raleigh neighborhoods host community events throughout the year, from Fourth of July parades to yard sales to summer pool parties. During major holidays, nearby shopping centers, City of Raleigh parks, and community organizations offer fun ways to celebrate the season and allow residents to meet their neighbors.
