The Town of Youngsville was originally incorporated in 1875 and named “Pacific”. It was when John “Jack” Young donated the land for a train depot that the name was changed to honor his donation. Once the area became incorporated, growth in agriculture was rapid and it fast became one of the biggest tobacco markets in all of the South.
