Why Do People Sell Their Homes?

Ready For A Change

Some people relocate by just picking a place on a map they've always wanted to live and going there. This reason for relocation has the least amount of stress because the excitement of the adventure outweighs the inconvenience of moving and there are less time restraints and job performance pressures than there are when you are relocating due to a change in the corporate world.

Additionally, most people will visit the destination city multiple times before they make this choice. Therefore, it is not as scary as the person who is moving for a new job into an area they may have visited for only a few hours during the interview.

Chances are the family above is either unpacking the last boxes from their big move (and can't wait to begin exploring their new city) or packing the first boxes for their next exciting adventure. Whether you're moving for adventure or a new position, moving has been rated as one of the top 10 most stressful events to take place in our lives.

So, why do we do it then? Well, we are creatures of change. As much as we denigrate change, we ironically crave it. But moving does not have to be the stress-filled event we see displayed in bad tv comedies, nor the "my last move was a disaster" story we hear from friends. Let Linda Craft & Team help you with our "divide-and-conquer" strategies and our vastly superior, dedicated relocation department.
